Arthritis Foundation

Arthritis foundation is founded in 1948 and has headquarters in Atlanta. It is the only non-profit organization, which has the capacity to support over one hundred types of arthritis, and arthritis related conditions. It offers multiple service points, which are found all over the country.

At present, Arthritis Foundation is the biggest non-profit contributor for arthritis related projects and research that are being done worldwide. It already had funded three hundred eighty million dollars in research grants alone since its inception in 1948.

The main goal of arthritis foundation is to help patients manage and control arthritis by providing all-important information that they need for better understanding of the disease. It also aims help to help the patient and their families in coping with the pain, discomfort and disability that results from the arthritis related conditions.

They also aim to actively participate pursuing legislative laws that will improve the rights of the patients who are living with arthritis.

Arthritis Foundation also spearheads evidence based programs, which aim to improve the quality of lives for those who have arthritis and their families.

For this year, Arthritis Foundation is celebrating its sixtieth founding anniversary with the goal of continuing arthritis awareness for the people.

To continue its goal, they have Life Improvement Series, which give education and exercise programs that are especially made for people living with arthritis. These special programs are developed by experts in the field of arthritis.

Moreover, Life Improvement Programs are developed to increase awareness and to encourage patients to participate in proper exercises which can help them cope with the pain of arthritis.

Aside from these Life Improvement Programs, Arthritis Foundation also offers community classes that also offer information for arthritis and community exercises, which the whole community can participate.

Arthritis Foundation also partners with other organizations, which has the same goal of improving lives of the people living with arthritis. Some of their partners are Association of State and Territorial Health Officials and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The partnership with these organizations has resulted to the development of National Arthritis Action Plan, which aim to help the public in the coping with challenges of arthritis.
